Has there ever been a nuclear-powered automobile?
In the 1950s, Ford automotive designers envisioned the Ford Nucleon, which was to be propelled by a small atomic reactor core, located under a circular cover at the rear of the car. It was to be recharged with nuclear fuel. The car was never built.
